Repair service information

DEVIREPA is the trading name of Karen Kianfar, a sole trader operating an independent device repair service in West London. We handle phone, tablet, laptop, computer and games console enquiries by appointment only. We do not run a walk-in shop. Collection and return depend on the area, device and availability, and are agreed before a booking.

Postal correspondence only: DEVIREPA, 5 Brayford Square, London E1 0SG. This is not a workshop, device drop-off point or customer reception. It is not represented as an appointed address for formal service of legal proceedings.

Contact: info@devirepa.com or 078 338 338 08.

Free enquiries, quotations and agreement

Sending a message, using the website form or asking for an estimate is free and does not place a paid booking or authorise repairs. Automated website assistance is not a diagnosis or a binding quote. The technician must review the actual device, model, fault and availability.

Before chargeable work, we explain the scope, agreed price, any parts or diagnostic charge, and any collection or return charge. Work only starts after you approve it. If we discover an unrelated fault or a change affecting the agreed work or price, we seek your agreement before doing additional chargeable work. A repair is never guaranteed to be possible or economical.

Before a booking becomes binding, you will be given written confirmation of the trader's identity, a legally suitable address for formal notices, agreed scope and price, expected arrangements, cancellation information and the terms applicable to your device. A repair quotation or collection proposal is not automatically an acceptance of a contract.

Diagnostic charges

The initial enquiry and indicative estimate are free. If detailed physical diagnostics are necessary, the standard diagnostic fee is £25, only if you expressly approve it beforehand.

If you then approve the quoted repair, that £25 is credited against the agreed repair price; it is not charged twice. If you do not proceed with the repair, an approved diagnostic fee may still be payable for the diagnostic work actually agreed. We explain this before you authorise it.

Device handover, data and repair risks

At handover we agree collection, transport, return and a record of the device's visible condition where appropriate. Please back up your data where possible, remove unnecessary accessories and tell us about known faults, liquid damage or prior repairs. If you cannot back up because the device will not start, tell us before work is agreed.

We do not ask customers to disclose passwords, IMEI, payment information or personal files in the website enquiry. Any access credentials strictly necessary for authorised testing must be discussed using a suitable separate process. We do not seek permission to browse unrelated personal content.

Repairing hardware can involve existing data-loss risks. Any reset, erase operation or repair involving an exceptional data risk requires separate explanation and express authorisation where practicable. This information does not remove legal responsibilities for a failure to use reasonable care and skill.

90-day additional repair warranty

DEVIREPA provides an additional 90-calendar-day warranty on the agreed repair workmanship and parts supplied and fitted by DEVIREPA. The period begins on the date the repaired device is physically returned to the customer, not merely when an internal job is marked completed.

The warranty concerns a defect in the agreed work or fitted parts. Newly occurring, unrelated faults and new accidental or liquid damage are not automatically covered by that additional warranty. Any relevant exclusions and how to make a claim must be included in the written repair agreement and assessed fairly on the facts; we do not make blanket exclusions of legal rights.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. Where applicable, remedies can include repeat performance or a price reduction. The 90-day voluntary warranty is additional to, not a substitute for, those rights.

Cancellation, changes and refunds

For a qualifying consumer repair contract agreed at a distance or away from business premises, the law will often provide a 14-day cancellation period for the service, starting when the contract is made, subject to the applicable rules and exceptions. An initial enquiry does not itself begin a paid repair contract.

If you want us to start chargeable work within an applicable cancellation period, we will explain the effect and request your express agreement beforehand, including the legally required acknowledgement where relevant. If you cancel after properly requested work has begun, a proportionate charge may apply where the law allows and the required information has been supplied. Starting a service does not automatically remove every cancellation right; full performance and statutory exceptions are assessed according to the law.

We will confirm any deposit, applicable collection and return charges, and how to cancel in writing before you authorise a binding booking. A payment does not automatically become non-refundable. Where a refund is due, it will be handled in accordance with consumer law and the confirmed agreement.

Repair receipts and invoices

After an agreed repair, we provide a customer repair receipt showing the work actually completed, the final agreed repair charge, the amount paid, any balance remaining and the applicable warranty information. We do not present an internal technician note as a description of completed work.

An invoice is available on request and is not automatically issued for every job. When issued, it must contain the legally required sole-trader identity, permitted contact or service address and relevant payment details. The invoice is separate from the everyday customer repair receipt.

Contact, problems and complaints

For a repair concern, quotation correction or warranty enquiry, contact info@devirepa.com and provide your job reference if one exists, the model and a description of the issue. You may also call us. We will review the concern against the work actually agreed and the applicable legal rights.

Important pre-booking notice: This page is public service information, not a complete contract. The proprietor has been identified above. A legally suitable address for formal notices, the final written cancellation information and agreed device-specific terms must still be confirmed before accepting a device or authorising chargeable work. No private home address has been placed on the public site.
